No town parties quite like Provincetown and during the month of October, one can expect plenty of entertainment on and off Commercial Street. From Halloween costume parties to family-friendly events you’ll find it all here. To help plan your Halloween weekend, here are some of the most anticipated events in PTown this October.
Paranormal Provincetown and Other Cape Cod Ghost Stories with Tim Weinberg
Thursday, October 25 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Join host Tim Weinberg at the Provincetown Public Library for a conversation on Cape Cod’s most notable ghost stories along with the haunted history of Provincetown. Tim hosts a hauntingly good radio show and podcast called The Spooky Southcoast where he discusses paranormal activities on a regular basis and has authored a couple books on the topic of ghosts.
Haunted Tea Dance
Friday, October 26th @ 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Get to the Boatslip Beach Club for the last Tea Dances of the season! You won’t want to miss all the costumed eye candy in the crowd when longtime resident DJ Maryalice gets the place rocking. If you’ve got it, haunt it!!
Friday, October 26th & Saturday the 27th @ 7 pm
Sneak over and catch the award winning Troupe Bearlesque from Philadelphia as they perform “Scarelesque” at the Crown’s Cabaret. (Tickets start at $23.50). Cast members Josh Schonewolf, Sven Inches, Turnpyke, Angus Le Beef, and Ida De Vill will be scaring the pants right off themselves.
2018 Black & Gold Ball
Saturday, October 27, 2018, 8 pm – Midnight
Join the crowds of costumed revelers at the 1st Black & Gold Halloween Ball at the Town Hall. Enjoy the smooth sounds of DJ Lina Bradford who has rocked some of best private parties in the world. Proceeds from this ghoulish bash will benefit the Aids Support Group of Cape Cod
Spooky Bear Costume Ball
Saturday, October 27, 2018, 9 pm – 1 am – The Crowne & Anchor
This years Spooky Bear weekend will be themed “Law of the Jungle” and will be proudly sponsored by the Northeast Ursamen. The ball will be one of the many highlights of this weekend at which you can expect to see and meet hundreds of costumed bears and their admirers. Grrrr!
Kids’ Halloween Greet n’ Treat
Wednesday, October 31st; 3:30 – 6 pm
Parade 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
This is the best free show in town on Halloween! That is if you love great costumes and loads of candy. The 4th annual Provincetown Halloween Greet n’ Treat parade begins at 3:30 on Motta Fieldwhere Provincetown businesses and organizations will be parked with decorated vehicles and handing out candy to the kids.
Halloween House Party, Shipwreck Lounge
Friday and Saturday October 26th and 27th; 5pm – close
The Shipwreck Lounge & Brass Key Guest House play host to your favorite Halloween House party all weekend long. Spooky spectacular libations will be served up with wicked intent as creative costumes dazzle the crowds.
